Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of elitehockeyskills.com and any service or program offered by Elite Hockey Skills, owned and operated by Daniel McNamara (Coach Dan) in Collingwood, Ontario, Canada.

By using the site, registering for a camp, or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

1. Who we are

Elite Hockey Skills (EHS) is a hockey skills development business. We run summer hockey camps, ice sessions, and skills clinics at Central Park Arena in Collingwood and other rinks in the area. The site is the public face of the business and the place to register, pay, and manage your camp bookings.

2. Who can use the site

The site is intended for parents and legal guardians registering players for hockey camps. Players themselves are minors. If you are under 18, you may not create an account or register a player. A parent or guardian must do that on your behalf.

By registering a player, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of that player and that you have the authority to enrol them.

3. Camp registration

Camp spots are assigned on a first-paid, first-served basis. Submitting the registration form does not guarantee a spot. Your spot is held only when payment (full or 50 percent deposit, depending on the package) is received.

We may decline or cancel a registration if a player does not meet the published skill requirements for the camp. We try to discuss this with the parent before declining. The published skating exception applies as written on the camp page.

Camp dates, times, and locations are accurate when posted but may change in unusual circumstances (ice scheduling change, instructor unavailability, public health requirements). We will notify registered parents by email if anything changes.

4. Payment

Camp fees and payment options are shown at checkout. We currently accept payment by Interac e-Transfer to coachdan@elitehockeyskills.com. The pay-half-now option is available on packages over $450, with the balance due before the camp start date.

All prices on the site are in Canadian dollars and exclude HST unless stated otherwise. Failure to pay the full balance by the due date may result in loss of your spot without refund.

5. Cancellations and refunds

Refunds are governed by our published refund policy. Read it in full at /refund-policy. Summary:

• 90 or more days before camp: full refund minus $25 admin fee.
• 45 to 90 days before camp: 50 percent refund minus $25 admin fee.
• Less than 45 days before camp: non-refundable.

By registering, you accept these refund terms.

6. Liability waiver

Hockey is a contact sport with real risk of injury. Every player or their parent must agree to the Elite Hockey Skills Liability Waiver before stepping on the ice. The full waiver is at /waiver. By registering, you confirm you have read and agree to it.

7. Your account

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your password private and for any activity on your account. Tell us immediately at coachdan@elitehockeyskills.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.

We can suspend or close any account that abuses the site, harasses other users or instructors, attempts to break the site, or provides false information.

8. Content on the site

The text, photos, logos, methodology descriptions, and structure of elitehockeyskills.com are owned by Elite Hockey Skills. You may share links to the site and quote short passages for personal or news purposes with credit. You may not copy our content for use in a competing hockey camp or training business.

Photos and videos taken during camps may be used for marketing on our website, Instagram (@elitehockeyskillscoachdan), and Facebook (/elitehockeyskills). If you do not want your child included, tell us before the first day of camp and we will keep them out of shots.

9. Communication

By registering or creating an account, you agree that we may email you about your registration, payment, balance reminders, ice sessions, and program updates. These are necessary to run the service.

We may also send marketing emails about new camps and programs. You can opt out of marketing at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect transactional emails about your active registrations.

10. No medical advice

Anything posted on the site, blog, or articles is based on Coach Dan's experience as a hockey skills instructor. It is not medical, physiotherapy, or strength-and-conditioning advice. If your player has an injury or condition, talk to a licensed health professional.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Elite Hockey Skills, Daniel McNamara, and any instructors or volunteers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or attendance at any program.

Our total liability for any claim related to a registration or program is limited to the amount you actually paid for that registration in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Ontario or Canadian law.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by talking it through will be handled by the courts of Ontario, in Simcoe County.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the business changes or when the law requires it. The effective date at the top will change. If we make a significant change, we will tell registered users by email.
